摘要
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with expertise in echocardiography to join our in vivo pharmacology team in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic (CVM) Disease Area at the Novartis BioMedical Research (BR) facility in Cambridge, MA. Cardiometabolic disease is the leading cause of death globally, claiming approximately 17.9 million lives annually. Our team is committed to developing innovative medicines to address this critical health issue. We design, develop, validate, and utilize pharmacological tools to assess the efficacy and safety of new cardiometabolic drug candidates.
As an experienced and skilled lab-based echocardiographer, you will work both independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting to conduct experiments in preclinical models of cardiovascular disease. You will perform multi-mode echocardiography, including strain by speckle tracking and Doppler imaging, to assess heart systolic and diastolic function. You will collect, analyze, and interpret echo images, and report cardiac structural and functional data in both written study reports and team meetings. You will support drug discovery for heart failure and arrhythmia therapeutics by participating in pharmacodynamic/pharmacokinetic (PK/PD) and efficacy studies, while expanding your knowledge in the field of non-invasive imaging.
